I was born and raised in Southern California, and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. “Since the womb” is how my mom describes my lengthy love affair with the Dodgers. Many nights as a child, I would lay in bed with a transistor radio under my pillow, listening to Vin Scully, Jerry Doggett and Ross Porter describe the action at the ballpark. We were blessed growing up in the Los Angeles area: Chick Hearn with the Lakers, Bob Miller with the Kings, and Scully with the Dodgers — we had a trio of Hall of Fame broadcasters that taught us about the sports and masterfully painted a picture of what was happening before their eyes. Ever since I was in grade school, I knew that this was what I wanted to do when I grew up.

This purpose of this blog is to share an insight into what goes on in my head, and how life experiences have shaped me into who I am today. That’s a constant work in progress! You will realize right away that baseball is my passion, and I aim to weave in quotes and anecdotes from the great game into the topics that I will write about. Let’s get started!
